About

European Tantra Festival takes place at Kasteel De Berckt, a castle with grounds and gardens in Baarlo, a small town in the south of the Netherlands. The venue is fully residential: accommodation, all meals, and the full program are included in the ticket, and you stay on site for the five days. Each day starts with yoga and meditation, moves into workshops through the morning and afternoon, and ends with ceremonies, ecstatic dance, or temple evenings. The program covers tantric practices across multiple schools and styles, breathwork, sound healing, and conscious relating. One of the distinctive features of the program is the Kings and Queens Masquerade Ball, an evening event built around connection and play rather than performance. The festival describes itself as the first tantra festival in Europe with trauma-awareness built into the core of the program, not just as an add-on. There is an emotional support team on site, and the FAQ is specific about consent, safety, and boundaries. The crowd is small, around 100 people, which makes it easy to move between sessions and have real contact with the facilitators. It is open to anyone: singles, couples, beginners, and people with years of practice.
