Tantric Joy takes place at Landgoed Energy Up, a green estate with a lake, sauna, and hot tub, 45 minutes from Amsterdam. You sleep in a tent or glamping tent on site, eat vegan meals with the group, and spend the days moving between workshops, ceremonies, and free time by the water. The pace is slow and the program is structured but not overwhelming: mornings often start with meditation outdoors, afternoons fill with workshops, and evenings center on temple nights. The program covers a wide range of tantra styles, from classical and neo-tantra to shamanic approaches. The 30 facilitators are vetted for professional ethics and safety awareness, and the festival has an emotional support team on site. There is no pressure to attend temple evenings, and the programming is explicitly designed to be safe for people new to tantra as well as people with years of practice. The crowd is international, adult (18+), and comes as singles, couples, and in groups. People describe it as warm and easy to connect in, without the performance pressure that can come with other tantra events. This is the sixth edition, which means the community around it has built over years, and returning participants are common.
